Delta frame concept was originally designed to cater for larger heavy powerful engines from Octagon 190 to engines over 300cc with some weight. Engines such as thor250 which is a 22kg engine was one that was considered to be fitted initially, purely for slalom pilots. Technofly AirConception later fitted this delta design with the prototype Nitro 200 engine which youtube video got pilots attention not only for the excellent nitro 200 engine, but also the new style of frame.

The aim of the design is to push the weight and bulk of the fuel tank below the pilot. This reduces the feel of fuel in the tank in flight and the balance remains more constant if filled or empty. This also improves aerodynamics in flight and allows the engine to be fitted closer to the pilot. Still a new concept and still in testing.

While reports are great inflight the launch characteristics require a lean back technique for the take off run as the forward position of the fuel tank can push the top of the frame forward and into the risers. Not a frame for every pilot. A competition pilot how ever can benefit from the design.
